Mehrangarh Fort
Rajasthan has many great fortresses and a very few forts can compare the beauty of Mehrangarh. The Impressive magnificent & majestic Mehrangarh fort stand on a perpendicular cliff 400 feet from the ground level built by 13th Rathore ruler Rao Jodha in year 1459 A.D. Now converted into a museum in
which there is magnificent display of art & antiquity. You can see some magnificent palace like Phool Mahal, Moti Mahal. The museum is fine displayed of Hathi Howaha (Elephant seats), Palki (palanquin) Painting and armory collection.
Jaswant Thada
This pure White Marble structure is a love memorial built by a queen in the memory of his beloved husband Maharaja Jaswant Singh II who departed this heavenly earth in 1895 A.D. and after his name it is called as Jaswant Thada. It is active cremation place for the Royal Family of Jodhpur.
The marble brought from Makrana an orange glow prevails from thin marble slabs. It is also known as Taj Mahal of Jodhpur.
Umaid Bhawan Palace
In colonial time the need to fortified palaces disappeared and many of the traditional style retreats were based on Western Style. It is the youngest palace in the World and among grandest palace in the world. It was the part of famine relief project for the people of Marwar to provide them employment.
Built on a small hill called Chittar, so earlier it was called as Chittar Palace. It was started constructing in the year 1929 and completed in the year 1943. Built by Maharaja Umaid Singh that’s why after his death it was started called as Umaid Bhawan Palace and still a private residence for the Royal Family of Jodhpur.
Mandore Garden
Mandore once the capital of erstwhile Marwar state till 1459 when 13TH Rathore ruler Rao Jodha shifted his capital 9 km away towards south and founded a new capital called as Jodhpur. Today Mandore has extensive gardens with high rock terraces. The main attraction of today’s Mandore is
 “Hall of Heroes” which house sixteen gigantic figure chiseled out of a single rock. These rock statues are of “Hindu deities or Famous folk deities”. It has magnificent and intricately carved cenotaphs of Rathore Ruler’s.
Sardar Market
Jodhpur’s Big Ben situated in the heart of Sardar Market stands tall “Ghanta Ghar” popularly known as Clock Tower which was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in year 1910. Now open local bazaar for the people of Jodhpur. It is one of the most colorful markets of India. A place must to visit in Jodhpur.
This open air live museum where display of vibrant & colorful textiles, spices, handicrafts and daily supply of fresh fruits & vegetables. While you are at clock tower also look for Makhania lassi and also look for dry & powered spices for your kitchen which special and really enhances the taste.

By Train: Jodhpur is on the Broad Gauge and hence connected to all the metro cities of India. There are daily trains from Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai, Varanasi, Jammu, Jaisalmer & Kolkata.
