One of the most important about Rajasthan is its colours and almost every city has it own shades. The best way to explore the walled city of Jodhpur is by walk, so gear up with sunscreen dark glasses and your camera because this photogenic city with still stop and
stare after every few steps. It can throw up some stunning picture. But isn’t the blue city it feels a little conscious like a trying to live up to its sobriquet. The old part of Jodhpur is much cleaner then the other cities of Rajasthan. Depending on from where you are taking the tour, it may take approximately 1 hour and half hour to 2 hours, but time may vary depending in your interest and physical strength. Most interesting part of this tour began from the one of the ancient city gate of Jodhpur which led you to one of most fascinating and interesting sites of city which most of the tourist miss it.

Jodhpur is known for it hospitality and welcome people with warm heart and smile. The people are nice & friendly and the intersection of modern and the ancient happening without self consciousness at every turn. Streets of old city is being shared my both human and
animals. Narrow and steps lane are packed with bikes and scooter still life move on. Old Blue houses are magnificent and elaborate carved balcony hanging out and providing sufficient shades on streets. A middle aged man in vests and shorts waves at you from a tiny patch of verandah or balcony that overlooks the street. These houses have rectangular platform called as “chabutra” is favorite place for women to sit on it and have a chat, and for men it is to play cards or discuss on Local, National & International subjects and affairs. Most of these houses have some stunning colorful gate and elaborate carved panel as well.

The city through some amazing sight branches of trees are filled with colorful kites. Telephone pole filled with wire & cables. An electric transformer fills with electric cable it looks like nest of bird. Animals carrying loads on their back some body stop the scooter and is buying grass for animals. The worshiper is feeding elephant just outside the temple.

If you should get lost and nothing could be easier in this city where every street winds & turns as if it were emulating a snake relocating yourself is easy enough.

Now as the light go on and the sun goes down, the wall of the houses turn an ethereal blue a luminous colour that arises out of that indigo lime and the lighting falling on this old city.
